The Expanded Sitting Chairs were created around the idea sitting is often too static, leading to a closed off feeling both mentally and physically. The dimensions and proportions of the chairs offer the user a more dynamic means of relaxing, where the chairs support the extension of the limbs outwards from the body in a way that is open and engaged.  Made from maple wood with a black ebony inlay tracing the shape, the graphic composition of each of the chairs reminds the user about the axis and lines of his or her own body.
